Harvest: 2 Peas, 2 Cukes

The other day I had a huge haul from the garden: 2 sugar snap peas and 2 cucumbers. The sugar snap peas are so tasty. I did some cooking for the 4th of July party that made use of store bought peas, and there was absolutely no comparison. Homegrown really is better.

These cherry tomatoes need to find their way into a salad, now.

Beefsteak! The bigger one there is about 3" in diameter.

The first Roma is starting to turn color.

All the peppers are getting big.

Squashimus Prime. The largest squash plant continues to put the others to shame. The little tiny squash that was on there last week shriveled up and died, though. I think it matured too early because of all the rain. However ...

... there are 3 little guys that look like this, spread out over this and the other squash plants. I think it looks like we're growing our own bowling pins.

Squash flower.

The cucumbers are getting to be an edible size. This one needs to be picked tonight. It's about 5" long and getting fatter by the day.

Super Chili #1.

Added Bonus Update: Blueberries. I need some help picking the abundance of blueberries this week. Any volunteers? I'll pay you in, um .... berries.

Flowers in the Yard Tangent: More Lilies, taking over the flower beds at this point.
